    Hi

I hope I'm posting this in the right place. We've just took delivery of a new computer and I've got to connect it to the network so I can access the correct folders for my work etc.

The problem is that nobody seems to know how the network has been set up here as an external company set it up and we don't have an I.T technician in here to tell me how to connect to it.

What I can gather is that the managers computer runs the network. There is another computer near me that is running a mysqyl application which looks like it controls the network in some part. Once that computer is switched off, the other computers in my department can't connect to any network folders.

My question really is how do I connect to it to share the same files? To be honest I don't even think that anyone knows of a network key if I need one to connect to it. I

When I look at the network map, I can see my computer, and two other machines, linked by two switch icons, a gateway icon and a web icon.

If anyone can give me any advice I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Mark
