    Hi,

    I created this website:

    http://www.besttropicalislandsintheworld.com/

Let me know what you think.

My one question right off the bat is how do i create a padding around the center cell so the text does not go right to the edge?

Any other tips and suggestions would be nice.

    Cheers,

    Matt

I think the site would be great if it has more content and images. The description are quite short and in fact, I feel there can be more which you could write about each place. Try to tone down on the number of ads as well.

I agree with lycos I think you should remove some of the ads and add more
    content to the page.

Lycos, descriptions on the main page of each island? What kind of content? I break up the content into various subpages....

I figure this is meant for people to come and click on links and such and most people wouldn't care all that much about an in depth analysis of the economy or history or whatever. But i see your point, the ads can make it slightly spammy.

What kind of content and on which pages? On each main island page, i have about 7 images- not enough? Another line of 3?

Personally did not like it, need some design flair adding to it. Navigation down the left is oK, but really needs some user functionality thinking about here!

Sorry not my cup of tea.
it is not designed enough. the left menu is totally not designed as well as the rest.
Why not make it a little more colorfull. maybe colorfull headlines...
Also it wouldn't hurt to use H1 and H2 tags

mrcustard: what functionality are you thinking of? What design flair?

Main issue is the design but what would you all change?

I am going to take out the ads on the left column, create a padding so the text does not touch the sides, center the bottom ads, and put the bold into H1, H2, H3.

you have designed the site in tables dude, old news. try some div id's/classes and reference your style sheet externally. it will help with optimisation and is easy to use...

I would relaunch the site using wordpress and get a unique theme created. There are plenty of Dp members here who can design and code the theme. Next, sign up at IAN.com as an affiliate. You will be able to sell tickets for hotels, ticket, etc... Just like Expedia.com
