But if you just have one (without a mirror) Bettas are lovely fish! My son was given one and it was beautiful. It would follow us back and forth along it's large aquarium as we moved about. We had it in the kitchen and it liked to watch us as we made meals. It would come right up to us to take food from our fingers too. And it was a beautiful deep blue-ish purple colour, irridescent shimmers in the right light. We were quite sad when the little thing died. We missed its company.
Whats the point in having a fish unless its got a good personality? Even if it is agressive lol I keep 2 females together and they don't fight, its usually only males that do that.. typical..
