No, Support Our Troops has been something that may have been coined around that time, but is nothing new. It simply replaced the big Uncle Sam Posters of yesteryear that asked you to do the same.

Sad thing is, there are some that feel that way.

I don't believe it is a matter of semantics. There are people that actually hate America, hate the fact that we have freedom, and will stop at nothing to tear that down. The sad thing is a great many of them actually are American. But they are the same ones that would sell their brother out if they thought it would help them in some way.

But again, this is nothing new. It's pretty much always been like this.

Not sure what country you are from, but living in the US, as an American citizen I took US History.

It is government of the people, for the people and by the people. It is the same thing.
What? Read the Preamble the US Constitution. Perhaps that will help enlighten you.

Don't thank me, you deserve it. Without people like you, none of us here would be able to say what we are all saying.

And what is also the same today are the people that say that are not the ones serving. They are cowards, ignorant to the bone. They have no idea.

That is pretty much what it is about.

That doesn't have anything to do with the FACT that we preemptively struck Iraq and started the WAR.

I'm going to unsubscribe from this thread before I get even dumber than I already am.

Someone PM me if my questions to Gtech ever get answered.

    Good night...and good luck! ;)

It's a new world. We are on the offensive now. I'd rather we took care of a threat before something happens again. That is what we are doing. You must have missed that little bit of news.
I am? I did not say that. One thread at a time man. I realize that moderation of the multiple threads here only gives you so much time to digest everything, so I can see where you would be in error once again.

Not all, though I've never seen a liberal not trying to find some reason to tear our country down. Most like the benefits they steal off the backs of others that have sacrificed for them. So much so, they use those very rights to chastise those that gave it to them in the first place. I guess that's what's considered being "progressive" and "open minded."

There's a difference between a spoon fed, ungrateful crybaby and a terrorist. The spoon fed, ungrateful crybaby will find some way to make excuses for the terrorist and the terrorist would saw their head off just the same. The liberal just isn't capable of realising it.

I wonder how long it is going to be before Ferret learns to form a complete sentence.

Hmm, "low level civil war", no just "civil war". Yikes...

Dude, this thread is over, even the moderator ducked out. You're too late.

On March 16, 1968 the angry and frustrated men of Charlie Company, 11th Brigade, Americal Division entered the Vietnamese village of My Lai. "This is what you've been waiting for -- search and destroy -- and you've got it," said their superior officers. A short time later the killing began.

I bet, you think the repeat of this in Iraq will be cool.

Actually, it has EVERYTHING to do with it. I've posted this here a half a dozen tmes before, but once again for the learning impaired:

The conditions of war were outlined:

    http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/09/20020912-1.html

Of course, at that time, we were not fully aware of the UN's role, else it would have read: "If the Iraqi regime wishes peace, it will immediately end all illicit trade inside and outside the oil-for-food program.
