I have done a few reviews of what triggers a sale with no good results. There is nothing consistant with sales with in CB so there is really no way to advise on what really triggers a sale. I do have a method that I use however with in digital point that may be helping me trigger a sale at CB. This was a question ask of me off line which I was asked to add to post for review. So, do you have a mothod that you can share that might trigger a sale with in CB?
CB has always baffled me. I'm not a newbie, by any stretch of the imagine, and I've been making money online for years and make enough that I work from home living on my earnings from affiliate marketing. Yet I cant make a sale in CB at all. I make several thousand dollars a year selling affiliate products through other networks, but I've never made one through CB. Not one. Over a year of promoting their stuff and about 10,000 hops, but not ONE sale! I'm sure that's not normal! lol I don't really see that its anything I'm doing wrong, as I'm able to send them lots of hops. Once they leave my site and land on the product page, then it's up to the sponsor to convert that sale. I just find that their stuff looks so spammy and I guess it doesn't appeal to the audience I send. I dunno what's going on...
I totally agree with Asmodeus, the products landing page design look so spammy that I never spend my time reading the full review. I'm always wondering how can people sell these stuff. Well, except few products which I know are worth, I wouldn't spend a dime on other... if you read my last blog post, you'll understand that I will be more likely to buy and promote products soon due to some new upcomming rules...
I have noticed that same thing also. I could send 1000 hops sometimes and I might not even get a sale despite the fact I am using targeted traffic. It sounds like a conspiracy, but something fishy is always going on with their tracking. Send that same traffic somewhere else or another aff programs and I'll make a thousand.
Do you think it's possible that their tracking could be off or that they are keeping some sales for themselves? I agree with you that if I sent the same traffic to another network that I'd get sales for sure. I've replaced them on some of my sites and the difference is like night and day.
My theory which I almost know for a fact talking to other big marketers is that they shave commissions. They are stealing your sales as once said before. It was speculated a long time ago. Many of the marketers if you noticed here just disappeared over night. That is because they got sick of CB and their terrible "tracking." I know most of them moved onto CPA and stuff. NIght and day true. I moved onto other similar programs and make 9 times fold what I was doing with CB. Nobody will ever get to the bottom of it. All I know is that when I promote them, the numbers don't add up at all.
CB always fluctuates with sales. You have your "slow depressing days" then there are those "surprise sale days" when you get flooded with sales or make sales you have no idea where they came from. I'm sure not everything is legit and up to par but I still use CB and will continue to use them in the future. The only way to make steady daily sales is to have enough traffic daily. The only people I know that do that are people who are on front page of serps for "Insane keywords" the ones that get like thousands of unique searches per day. I am far from being one of these people.
The conspiracy theories of CB are in fact evident. Trust me, there is not way in which you can go from sales sales and sales to nothing. Something is really wrong with that. This theory is of nothing new to people that have been using CB for many years. Never to be solved until something legal happen i'm sure.
