I have a web store with Adsense ads running it does well
but I can't find another affiliate program that gives my any decent
    earnings.
I have tried Amazon, Kolimbo and chikita all have failed miserably.
My site sells furniture in the UK any ideas folks?

You're using Adsense on an e-commerce site? Are you selling the furniture directly (i.e. from your inventory)? If so, aren't you afraid those Adsense ads will take customers away from you? One click can't possibly be worth what you can make from one sell...

If your produts are selling, then adsense on that site is a definite No-No. They can take potential buyers away.

yeap true , it may chase ur visitors away ...

for exp ,when they enter ur site and within few seconds they see adsense advertieser which offers good stuff related to ur products will click and go away .. high risk

    Thanks for the advice.
The trouble is I made 000's dollars last year with the ads.
It's hard to turn my back on that kind of income.
My site has always had a poor conversion rate and is 3 years old.
It gets approx 1000 unique visits per day 22% UK Home market the rest is mainly US traffic.
I am lucky if I get 4 web orders per week.
I have tried redesigning the front page.
I have some trouble with my marketing/copy writing skills.
I think furniture is a hard to sell online unseen.

How I see it is that if you are directly selling your own products and also include Adsense ads on your site then people may not want to buy from you. How I and others may see it is why have you got ads on your site, is it because you are not making enough money from what you are selling or is no one buying it so you have to put ads up aswell just to keep you afloat.

Yeah, heh, that's kind of true. People like to "test out" furniture to see how it "feels" before they buy it. Kinda hard to do on the web. :)

I recently started running adsense on an affiliate site with a low click-through rate as a test. What I found was that sales did not decrease- I was only getting 6-7% CTR on the affiliate products, leaving 93-94% of my visitors to go somewhere else… if they’re going to do that, I’d rather have them click on an adsense ad. Increased my earnings by $8-10/day.

    Werebear,

I don't know if this is even possible but perhaps there would be a way to only show AS ads to US visitors - they are not likely to buy furniture from the UK anyway.

You could seek affiliate relationships with UK merchants that offer merchandise that compliments your furniture line - maybe ARGOS which I think only offers affiliation to the UK anyway, Sharper Image, a soft furnishing store, etc.

As I said, I don't even know if it would be possible to split your visitors in this way though I do seem to remember a thread about serving different ads to visitors depending on where they were coming from. Don't know if it had anyhting to do with Adsense though.

It is quite hard to sell, but I was surprised that I had around 3 furnture sales about 2 weeks back. The first sales I have ever had with furniture and they all came in a 1 week period. It must have been the same customer doing up his/her house.
