Hi Friends, I have a jewelry related website with pr4 it has 322 backward links. I have tried too many things to improve my keywords ranking like:- 1- Bookmarking with individual keywords. 2- Link Exchange with quality sites. 3- Keyword rich article submission. 4- Blogging for individual keywords. 5- Free directory submissions. But still my keywords are not in top 50 keywords in google (USA). Please suggest me what should I do more to get my keywords in top ten in google. Every suggestion is valuable for us. So kindly share your ideas with me. Thanks
Unfortunatley you have chosen a very competitive market. I think You need some more QUALITY inbound links from jewelry related websites that have a high PR or Google ranking. By "QUALITY" I mean anchor text for your best selling products.
1- Bookmarking with individual keywords: By itself it won't make a difference in a highly competitive market 2- Link Exchange with quality sites: Try one way links, exchanges 99.9% of times add your url to pages that are a huge link list which lowers the value. 3- Keyword rich article submission: Was the article syndicated? If the article isn't picked up by other webmaster and your link with the proper anchor text isn't displayed in the BIO it won't help you. 4- Blogging for individual keywords: Are you creating blogs or commenting on blogs? If you are creating a keyword rich blog and than you aren't optimizing it, the back link to your jewelry site will never have any value. If you are commenting you have to understand that most comments are now no follow. 5- Free directory submissions: This will not help much in a competitive market. It won't make any difference nor help you in your niche. It seems that you did some SEO research but you aren't taking full advantage of it.
Just like to ask.. how long have you been working in promoting your site? You will try to see first the range of the time you are working.. and if you think that 2 to 3 months of working is not showing a good sign yet, then that is the right time to ask.. All I can suggest was since your site is a competitive one, you can try blog commenting with related category, answer community, social networking or you can create and optimize a video for your products and show them to the world.
Thanks for the PM. You have a great site with a great potential to rank for many highly targeted keywords. The first issue I see is the lack of a proper on site optimization mostly because of the shopping cart you are using. You have already done a great job, but you are missing a few basic things that would increase your rankings easily.

you know, the sandbox effect is directly relative to the difficulty of the keyword, the time that you spend in the sandbox for "rings" is not the time u spend for "my best friend jennifer marvins marriage". 8 months in a very competitive industry is nothing, if you haven't seen any important jump in rankings yet since the creation of your website, then just continue getting backlinks to your site, it will happen in the next 2 to 8 months.
Shorten you title tags to single keyword phrases to see if you can improve the serps. Having multiple keyword phrases covers more ground but reduces the effectiveness on each!
