Tricky positioning problem

    Hello!

I've got this project on the go that at first I thought wouldn't be too hard at all, but on further inspection has thrown me somewhat.

As you can see from the picture above, all those thumbnails aren't positioned in rows or anything, this is my problem.

What is the best/easiest way to position them so that they resemble the above layout?

ahhh crap, just realised I've gone and stuck this in the wrong forum.

Feeling like a bit of a fool now, what with the message when posting a topic and everything.

    Sorry!

How do you want to do it?

I mean you could use an image map, absolute positioning with css, just cut up the image into smaller images...

    Plenty of options.

I've got all the images as separate images. Absolute positioning wouldn't be what I'm after because the whole page is centred.

I'm playing around with relative positioning but it seems to be positioning them about 50 pixels further left in IE than in Firefox.

I don't know anything about image maps, that could be my best bet .. I'll do some research.

Edit- A CSS image map seems like a super solution, going to go down that route, thanks :).

    No probs :)

But you can still absolutely position even if the page is centered...
