I want to know how to get google sitelinks, is there a procedure to design the website which enables google to catch sitelinks or you need to have huge number of pages, any trick to get sitelinks please tell me.
What a load of nonsense! Do either of you even know what sitelinks are?? If you did you would know that link exchange has NOTHING to do with them. Perhaps you should go and read this: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=47334
Not use about algo how google determines sitelinks. Some times they are shown and some time they disappear even no change made for the site.
Google decides when to give site links. We don't have any "click here" option to get site links.. 1)First of all your site should be aged enough. And have to get some decent traffic. 2)Plan your site very well. I mean don't allow all posts in one category. All different set of posts in different categories and promote each and every category. 3)Site should look like Tree structure.
I have a non branded arcade site that get's a couple thousand UV's per day, and it currently has site links for the keyword searches that rank #1. However, the site links come and go, even when my site is still #1. Like everything else, I'm sure Google will not tell you the exact formula to show sitelinks. And for you people who are talking about link exchanges...do some reading and learn a few things before you just start typing since you don't know what the heck you're talking about.
I managed to find a post about sitelinks: http://www.hochmanconsultants.com/articles/sitelinks.shtml The short version is that if you have a high click-thru raate and a very low bounce rate, along with clearly structured navigation menus, you should be able to get one. --- Another quick hypothesis is this: Look at the results for "Digitalpoint" in Google. You get something like this for hte sitelinks: I can make two quick assumptions about this: Either Google looks for the most "popular" things in a forum toa dd it as a site link, meaning the forums with the most viewers and subsequently most new posts and replies, or it looks at your anchor text in backlinks and decides upon which categories are the most important.
I think replies to this thread would be some sort of help. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1610960
well, it is obvious you guys are not even remotely familiar with sitelinks. regardless, you should refrain from commenting on topics that you are not familiar with. specifically commenting as a subject matter expert giving people advice. it is google who determines which site will have sitelinks and no one has complete control over it. however, you can increase your chances of getting the sitelinks for your site. make sure you have a very good navigation with major categories. in my own experience, it works better if you put the navigation on the top of the site before any content or on the left sidebar. make sure you dont have every single page added on the menu and only have the major categories. once you have the right site navigation put in place, rest will be link building. more backlinks you have, better your chances are. one member commented on brandable domain which is also true but not necessarily a must. for example, if you search seofocused, you will see the site showing sitelinks. hope that helps
maximize your backlinks by link exchange, add comments and article submission etc. automatically you will get 2% google backlinks
