12 years experience, it is better if your software can detect possible penalization and a solution.

hahahaha! check your traffic stats - if you see an 85% drop then you know Google has penalized your site! Who woulda thunk it!

I was wondering why he was talking about SEO experience and dropped 12 as the number of years. SEO is fairly new in web glossary.

People have been "Optimizing Documents for Search Engines" since the mid 90's but the term "SEO" was first used to describe the process in 1997.

Just to be precise and answer to many PM that I received (thanks to everybody for your interest) I'd like to point out:

    1) my system not only confirm you if the site has been penalized or not, but also give you a quite precise value of the penalization using a value scale from 1 to 10 (1= slightly penalized, 10= strongly penalized)

    2) this system is useful not only for your own sites that you can easily understand if a penalization occurred (i.e. looking at stats charts as sweetfunny mentions) but, above all, you can analyze others people's domain (imagine that you must buy an expired domain) which you do not know the history of it.

    3) finally, thanks to this system you can easily understand a penalization, even a very light one, that also for the owner's site is difficult to understand looking at only stats or soft ranking movements.

now, my doubt is: do you think that a $20 per domain analysis is a reasonable price to get all these info?

    thanks

    marc

PS: as regards my 12 years SEO experience I can confirm (I have no interest in telling you lies) that I started to work on search engines since 1997

I thought you were going to do as Ponynugget suggested!
His suggestion seems like the best and most obvious one in this thread..
Someone with 12 years SEO experience should also have some idea how to promote it and milk it for all its worth. (providing it works)

As for charging $20 per Domain for all the info. Well what info?
For $20 what do people get, a rating of 1 to 10? LOL.. do they also get to know the reason there site was penalized, and what they need to do to resolve the penalty? and how you came to the conclusion that there site is actually penalized, or proof your penalty detecting system works?
The way I see it, once you give this information out, then people will know how your system works.. and if you don't give this information out.. then it is not worth anything to anyone.

If you want to make money from this "trick" then do as Ponynugget suggested.. (providing it works)

    Cheers
    James

Just type the domain name in quotes (e.g "www.example.com") and

make sure you are #1, if not try a sentence from your site with quotes

and if you are again not #1 then you're in deep shit.

There are few simple things one can do to find out whether his site is penalized by google or not. Anyway, may be your trick will work better but not sure if people will be willing to pay for such trick.

Write an ebook and offer a few free reviews by more reputable members of this forum. If they say its worth it, then offer it forsale in the BST. You will have to determine the value yourself.

I have made several similar pages with irrelevant content and uploaded them to different domains. They have common content and individual phrases. When checking the SERP for the common content I can make a ranking and identify the penalized domains.
My point is: If your site does not rank for low cost content, there is no point in creating quality content. Then, start a new site.
Has anyone done this before? Any feedback?
