It is best to test them first. Different networks perform different depending on your sites topic, traffic, etc...
Hi, I'm interested it this topic too. Which would be the best for a graphic related site with 3000pi/day? I know that are not so much but it's a start
Wow, that's the first time someone has recommended Burst first. Burst never fills more than 20% of my inventory. The rest are defaults.
Jackburton = CPM expert. I'd say TF > Valueclick > Burst. TF is probably the best next to Gorilla Media.
Thank you guys, but I think there's something missing.. how can be so different your opinions starting from the same data?
Hi, I am just wondering which one you think is better. Tribal or Gorilla Media? I have been approved for Tribal, but have not put the ads on my site yet. I will look into doing this very soon.
If you mean Gorilla Nation, then GN is potentially more lucrative than Tribal Fusion. The reason why GN is so hard to get into is because they'll only accept sites that they believe they can "sell" to advertisers; thus, when you get accepted, they will sell you, resulting in higher rates. Tribal Fusion is more of a straightforward CPM network, and mostly delivers generic ads. The rates differ, but if GN can sell your site, you'll make more with them. I would go with both networks, and use TF as your default for GN, telling your GN rep to default to TF if your GN network ads run below a certain CPM so you'll only run high-paying GN ads.
Burstmedia defaults a hell of a lot of campaigns, but they pay more than valueclick. But Valueclick fills up alot of their inventory and don't default as much!
A lot of users don't understand that with BurstMedia, getting your users to fill out the surveys offered by BurstMedia as a default, is important in getting specific insertion orders from ad companies. Those insertion orders are where your bread and butter will come from, not the normal run of the mill ads... I'm currently running 2 different sets of ad insertions on 1 website, each of them paying 5-10x the normal run of the mill ad from BurstMedia or ValueClick/FastClick. The net result, is they've increased my BurstMedia ad revenue by about 4x the normal monthly income.
You can review the FAQ at Burst to get more specific information: http://www.burstmedia.com/burstnetwork/index.asp?page=faq But to answer your question here: How do Targeted Campaigns Work? Our sales team is constantly working to sell Targeted Advertising for all of our publishers, but the exact timing and pricing cannot be projected. When your site is part of a purchased targeted campaign, you will receive an insertion order (IO) via email, which details who the advertiser is, the flight dates (start to end date) and rate/cost of the campaign, the number of ad views your site is expected to deliver, and your income. You must signal your rejection via email of a campaign within 24 hours of receiving an IO if you do not want this ad to appear. ---- Uhmm... yeah... for some reason I've never rejected the ads to run... Dennis
I signed up and they would only accept me as a Burst Direct Publisher. Is this the same program as what you guys are on about. I know they have 2 programs, one that pays alright and this on that I got accepted in that I have not bothered trying as others said it pays low rates and there is alot of rub*bish ads in there plus there is not much and alot of defaults or something.
I would also go for TF > Valueclick > Burst. Although that's based om opinions from other publishers.
