I just created a information site for travelers and backpackers. It has information about the following countries:

    • Spain
    • Portugal
    • Thailand
    • Vietnam
    • Australia
    • New Zealand
    • Philippines
    • Laos
    • Indonesia
    • Cambodia
    • Ireland
    • Turkey
    • England
    • Germany
    • Canada
    • USA
    • Brazil

Its in Beta right now but I think its almost complete, just need to make a couple of changes. The background has been loading slow for me, its probably too big of a file size, let me know if you see any problems like the one I mentioned and if you think it will be useful.

Well the graphics are .... ugly , sorry but they just are . And the loading speed is not what you'd expect from a .info domain . Combined those two drove me away .

I made a small change to improve the loading time. As for the design, many I showed have liked it. I dunno. Its okay, I don't think its terrible or anything. I would like to see what others think though.

I agree with ApocalypseXL. Although it seems pretty unique, overall appearance is somewhat ugly. Also, the site is no user-friendly at all. I'm wondering what those maps actually are for if you can't zoom them. Sorry but many things to be improved.

Too slow, damnly slow. Texts are not always easily readable, transparent graphic and menu links too much near the borders...

    Great potential but terrible template.

Few suggestions. I would change the color choice to make things more readable, would find better matching font color and background color. Links at the top of each country page are almost invisible, visitors would not know where to go next, it would be easy to make them more prominent. The content of the website is going to require a lot of work to keep it up to date and interesting for a visitor.

Firstly, you need to explain what the site is to be used for. From a quick glance I guess your aiming at Adsense commisions? If this is true, you really do need to be focusing on this first before fine tuning the background image.

Ask yourself, is the customer led to click an advert? (if this is what you want). If the answer is no, work towards this first by blending the ads and putting them in places where people look. Check out a heatmap for websites to get a good idea.
