Hi folks, Hope this is the right section for this topic... I'm using a translator plugin on my wordpress content site. Will this translator help me do be well set at the different search engines around the world? The tags will be translated? And the ads will be translated? Am I catching here lots of hits with one site written in english and performed in 38 languages? I hope you can help me with this? Thanks, Cees
Yes it will definitely help get more visitors from search engines. May I know what this plugin is? I could use something like this myself
No, because the translator is working dynamically, not creating new versions of your site (even if it did that, it would probably be counted as duplicate content)
It would depend on how good your plugin is. Ideally it would create whole new versions of your website in separate folders. Some translator plugins do just translate text on-the-fly and might not create separate pages. I doubt you would have problems with duplicate content if the content is in a different language. I don't think Google would take the time to try to translate a page into different language to see if it is duplicate. What is the specific translator plugin that you are considering?
I prefer translate.google.com for me.. It helps a lot if you want to translate your page in different languages.
translation project help your visitor to read your site since it is now available for all language however the Google translations although best translations project it is "funny translations for me,in my country when people translate the language to my mother language it look "ridiculous"
thanks for the info so far. but should i consider to delete this plugin, cause i dont want to get banned by google. when i search for content on my site, google gives me all the different languages so i think there are separate folders. but... what should i do? thanks cees
We have been a Google version for about 9 months with little results. It will translate the content but not the on page SEO. Therefore, I don't think we are visible on non-English SEs.
