I was looking at the plugins that WP has listed and came across this translator plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/global-translator/ It looks interesting, if you could translate your site into numerous languages it increases your possible customer base which is always a good thing. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this one and what you guys think of it. Is it a plugin that is worth having?
Yes sure, I have used the same. You would see considerable increase in the number of pages in google for your blog. Do not expect the translation to be exactly same, as it is going to be machine translated. However, luckily if your important keywords are translated properly expect god traffic for your blog. You should optimize your wordpress for maintaining cache that should also help.
I was using it for awhile and some of my translated pages started getting indexed. I don't use it now because it was generating some errors that I didn't have the time or motivation to look into - but overall its pretty cool.
