What does everyone think of the translation program? We offer a translation service by which real people do the translations but I've always been curious as to whether a program can offer a quality translation.

 

The portuguese translation is an absolute crap.
I've seen this working...

 

For a computer program to create sentences in English takes a lot of processing power and as far as I'm aware there is no program which has perfected this yet. So for a program to give a perfect translation from English to another language is still fairly unlikely. I would be interested to hear about some of the programs out there which come close though so if anyone has heard of any I'd be interested to hear about them.

 

i have tried some translating software in the past (such as Systran) to translate from english to dutch, but it's totally crap. its not very accurate, its actually very bad.
the way i see it, translating tools are still very bad, we still need a human to place the correct grammar

I bought a version from jonatan so it is a legal copy and so far it has been working fine.
However, it seems that MSN/Live.com has big problems with the script. I am not sure what is going on but pages indexed in MSN only has the link, no description, no nothing. It SEEMS that they can't handle the redirects to me, but that is just a guess.
Has anyone else had this problem lately?

 

Just a note, I am not using this on my main site as there is another script that would intergrate with wordpress much more easier.
