    Hello,

I am using Google Translate to translate some articles on my website to 5 extra languages. Can I be penalized by Google for duplicate content?

Probably not, but it would be safer to use another translation program, and then you have nothing to worry about.

Not exactly "on topic" but I just tested the Google Translator and the results (from English to Spanish) are horrible. It's not quite as bad as the spam emails that one gets but it's close.

yes, allthough sometimes it works great, if it doesnt know the correct word it will often just leave it as is and other times it gets it wrong. when using these tools make sure you read the new content to ensure that they make sence, other wise you will have jiberish in another language that nobody will bother to read
