I have similar problem. Somebody left unfair negative itrader and ruined my reputation. Is there anything we can to do get rid of false itraders?
Well since iTrader is going away completely, you don't need to do anything special to have iTraders removed.
I certainly don't agree with that.... it is still there and false iTraders are hurting our general profile and business on this forum! As long as it is still there you should take care of it or delete it all together. You allow the reputation of good members to be hurt because of false iTrader because "it will go away once"? I like this forum very much but that is no attitude towards your members in my humble opinion. I have been a member for 6 years now but this really makes me doubt if i am respected for that..... somebody can just hurt my years build reputation because the system will once go away and while it is still there...... i just have to take it and leave it be? Common Shawn... really, think about it please and please remove that false iTrader from my PUBLIC profile. Regards. Ps: you need to get your cat in rehab
Approximately when do you expect the itrader system to be completely removed? Because this thread is created 2 years ago and itraders are still here.
For my iTrader problem, take a look at this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2549770#post18033177 Edit: my bad, it seems he got banned and the iTrader has been removed.... good work DP and thank you.
It's intentionally a long time so people have had time to build their Instant Pay ratings at the same time before iTrader is removed. We don't get involved in disputes between members. Best thing to do is protect yourself and always use an escrow service like www.escrow.com
Short question Shawn. Is it possible for me to check if I already build a reputation with the new system as I remember you mentioned it is already running in the background
There are 3 numbers next to your iTrader feedback score (it shows in any forum/post that your iTrader shows)... that is your instant pay history and if you mouse over it, it gives details about what each number is. That is just if you BOUGHT something though... if you have been selling stuff with Instant Pay, those 3 numbers will not reflect that.
So, how will a seller build reputation (" That is just if you BOUGHT something though... if you have been selling stuff with Instant Pay, those 3 numbers will not reflect that.")
Finally, I found the time to go through the entire thread. I think it sucks that the old iTrader system won't be reflected in my profile in the future. I think that's a penalty all old members will have to pay. No matter what you have done, you will need to start off with the new ones(and so many talented scammers there, they'll find a way to scam this system also). I haven't had the time to make deals through DP for more than a year now. I hang about in the Copywriting and Affiliate Marketing sections. Since I didn't know that this new system was in place, when (after a long long time) I made 3 deals this week, I didn't use InstantPay. Now, since I didn't know about this, I am far far behind in this new rating system than many noobs who have been cracking $5 deals for two years. I was contributing to the system even if I wasn't really buying and selling and was rather complacent that when I came back my decent iTrader would make sure I am not held back. @Shawn, I think if you remove the iTrader any time soon, it surely will suck for all of us here. Many of us will have thousands of posts and no feedback to talk of, so we'll need to start from the bottom of the ladder. SUCKS BIG TIME.
The short answer to your question is yes. Members have been given an opportunity to building up a buy/sell performance record under the new system before closing itrader.
I bought a domain to a dp user sometime ago for $10, and paid directly through paypal's website (I was not aware of the instant pay system so I asked for paypal ID and paid for it), so now I have that red didn't not pay item mark, I sent several messages already to the user if he can mark it that I paid for it already but he just ignored all of my messages.
This is unfair for us who built our good reputation thru i-trader.. I think i-trader is still effective and just need effective moderation. +1 to NOT remove the i-trader.
I agree 100%. Why not leave old itrader visible somewhere in userCP or whatever? It should not be a problem. I mean that would not be a problem for you, admin, and it would help everyone (old itrader could be one more indicator about that user).
I agree! I haven't really got that many itraders, but I will still be dissapointed to lose them nonetheless. Plus, they help buyers avoid dealing with many of the undesirables. Just my two cents.
