Transferring my portfolio of sites to an LLC for liability protection... question

I own a fair amount of sites that open up a slew of liability concerns, so I have the following questions:

    * Do I need to transfer the ownership from my personal accounts at godaddy and my host to the LLC?

    * If so, how do I do that?

    Thanks,

You don't really have to do that in most cases. If you are hosting questionable content, you'll want to do that by selling the domains to the LLC at 1 cent and changing the whois data, maybe even creating a new account at godaddy and moving them there

for most cases though, you'll be fine

You should probably just create a new godaddy under the name of your LLC and then transfer your domains to the new account.

If you are that concerned though you might want to talk to a lawyer first.

    Talk to a lawyer, definitely.

But, if there are any liability concerns, always transfer your business to an LLC or S-Corp. You don't want to leave yourself unprotected.

You should transfer the domains to the LLC. If you desire to sell the portfolio one day that will avoid allocating sale price between the LLC stock and the domains/sites registered to you personally.
