I have a domain registered under my name. How do I transfer that domain to some one else? When I do this do I get to keep my hosting for my other domains and just lose the ability to post content to that one domain name?

You need to request a transfer code from domain registrar before push the domain to other people account.
    Hosting still can keep it.
What you'll lost is cannot use the domain anymore.

u need to give the auth code of that domain to that person and ask him to initiate transfer ( may be u need to approve a transfer request )

if that person changes nameserver that domain wont resolve to your hosting

Just provide you EPP code or authentication code to your new registrar. They will be able to assist you.

For transferring a domain name you provide the authentication code to new registrar as well as enable the trasnfer request via current registrar email. Domain transfer does not effect on your hosting account unless you change the DNS record.
