Transferring domain to other host [problem]

In April I registered my website on HostGator.com because it was $0.01 for the first month. I selected the option that I would pay month by month. I didn't pay for May because I was out of the country and had other stuff to tend to. Now HostGator tells me I have to pay $19 to get my website up and running or I can cancel my account. If I cancel my account, will there be any issues when I pay GoDaddy, or will the website not go up? Thank you.

where the domain regged ? godaddy or hostgator ?

if it is just hosting with hostgator then nothing u need to worry with godaddy ( why do u even link those matters :D ).

I want to move hosting to GoDaddy since HostGator wants $19 to unsuspend the page. I don't want to pay GoDaddy to find out I still have to pay HostGator.

    Yep that is correct.

Hopefully you have a backup of your site or will have to pay the 19.00 to get your files/website

HostGator is not related to Godaddy.
HostGator is charging $19 as recovery fee.
If you cancel your HostGator account, your domain will not be affected, just that you will have to change your Nameservers on Godaddy for this particular domain pointing to some other hosting provider.
    This should solve your issue.

if the domain you regged via hostgator then pay the 19$ money and get the backups , domain. if thats not imp then forget the fees , domains and backup

if the domain is regged in other place then change servers to godaddy hosting ( u need to pay godaddy for hosting )

Hostgator's a good host and are generally pretty good with things like this. If you open a ticket or speak with an assistant through the live chat and explain your situation then you should be able to come to some sort of agreement. :)

You can transfer your hosting account anytime. All you need to do is change your NameServers. But you need to take note that some sites requires transfer fee. Meaning they will help you migrate your site from the other site to their own. But if you know how to do this yourself then there is no need to worry about the pay. Migrate the contents yourself, change your nameservers and you are good to go.
