Do you mean to or from?
Do you have control of the domain name, or is it with your host?

I've bought the domain name and it's hosted with Dreamhost. I want to transfer the domain name and all the related data to someone else.

Your new hosting company must help you out in transfering your old data to their servers.

If not, then all depend upon how it is hosted.
    - If you have Cpanel, you can simply take backup from there and restore it on new server.
    - If you were using Plesk, then similarly take a backup from control panel and restore on a new plesk server.
    - Otherwise you need to downlaod all files thru ftp and upload to new using ftp. In this case you may not be able to transfer your old mails to new server.

In case of Domain Transfer, simply follow the Transfer proceedure at new Domain Registration Company.

Alright thanks. I'll get the new owner to download all the files on the FTP server and then transfer the domain over to him.

Internet in South Africa isn't too great so it would be the only way unless I want to spend 2 days waiting for it to download and then4 days for it to send :-p
