i have three domains that i want to transfer from my account with godaddy to someone else's hosting account at bluehost. has anyone done this before? i tried emailing godaddy but i never got an answer back. their online help says that the receiving party has to have a godaddy account.

I've never initiated a transfer through GoDaddy but just recently had a domain name transferred to me. GoDaddy sent me detailed instructions, transaction code and security code. I just had to set up an account (since I've never dealt with them before). The whole process was very straightforward and only took about 5 minutes of my time.

I'm not hosting elsewhere but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to. You have the ability to change your nameservers
