We all know that RegisterFly.com is one of the worse registers out there.

I am currently having huge problems with transferring my domain out. Can not get a hold of any customer support and the godaddy transfer fails all the time

If you were able to transfer your domain from RegisterFly please share your success story here

    1. Support does not exist. I ran live chat for 8 hours, nothing. Holded for 2 hours, nothing , wait a week for e-mail support to get a notice “fixed in 24 hours” and ticket automatically closed.

    2. I made all my domains Protectfly, which puts all your info in their name, BIG MISTAKE. I had noticed that the e-mail forwards that were setup never reached me!! . Yes, they were keeping all the mails, countless support requests, this never gets resolved.

    3. Remember that if you have protectfly enabled om your domains and one expires , technically you are not the owner of the domain, they are….. They want the domain to expire so that they can put up PPC landing pages, that’s probably what they are about.

    4. When I changed all my whois back to my name, I noticed that multiple domains were unable to update, because they actually were not in my a/c anymore.

    5. Domains that are expiring are unable to renew. These are ones that are also not with enom. You can pay $8.99 for 10 to renew upto 3-4 times. Guess what they do not renew and you do not get refunded.

    1. Change your whois from protectfly to your info
    2. Change admin e-mail from rf to yours
    3. Unlock your domain
    4. Get your Auth Codes (let me know if you got it)
    5. Initiate transfer

Remember if you recently renewed or transfered to rf there is a 60 day hold.

After about 48 hours after you should receive a transfer out notice from them, approve ASAP.

    This got 50+ domains out for me :) :) :) :)

I also have nothing good to say about registerfly. Absolutely terrible service. Ever since I went through the same transfer problems i've used godaddy.

BTW it took me 4 weeks to get a registerfly transfer done :( Eventually I threathened legal action as it was about to derail a sale.

They should be reported. It looks as if they are running an illegal organisation of some sort. If you have a domain that is for your business then you should be able to change registra's. I have never been with them and I am glad to.

Thanks to RegisterFly's incompetence, someone else now owns the domain name I bought and paid for.

I'll eat the $10 I paid - and I'll make sure it costs them 10x that in lost business.

    Bastards.

It seems very unfair that you get PR and backlinks for the domain and you create a site and then don't even bother giving you the domain even though it is rightful yours really.

The best way is to get an account with www.enom.com
They are very good in making sure that you will get away from registerfly. My old registerfly domains which are lost, are about to be transfered in there.
