I have bought a site. The seller is asking my godaddy login. Is it a must to provide him my login? can't he just take my email and name and initial the trasfer?

    Not it's not.
Just ask him to push the domain to your account.

He needs your godaddy email and account number. I have transfered many domains before. This is REQUIRED.

He doesn't need to know your name/password/etc...

If your both GoDaddy customers you just need to have him do an account change. If this is the case he does need your Customer # & Email to 'push' it to you.
