I am about to transfer my domain to a new server. Is there an easy way to do this? I have multiple mysql databases and over 1.2 gigs of data. Do i just back all that up and transfer it over or is there a simpler way? Please help, i would like to do this tonight if possible. Thank you

Did you try asking the hosting seller to move it?
i always ask my hosting company to do this job :)

And if you are going to do this then i think doing manually is the only option, by downloading the shole database and uploading in the new server.

Make a backup yourself, but ask your new host to do it. They will need your login details to do it, but if its a simple cPanel - cPanel or similar transfer, then it won't take them much time or effort at all, and most will do a little favour like this in the interests of customer relations.

Doesn't hurt to keep a backup though, just in case all doesn't go well or your old host expires before you have time to thoroughly test your site on your new hosting.
