Well you can do easily, once you install Wordpress on your own hosting and domain, you can import Blogger data from Wordpress Blog! The first thing you need to do is tell Blogger to let WordPress access your account. You will be sent back here after providing authorization.

You should delete all post on your blogger blog. Just wait a view month, all duplicate content will gone.

If you will more faster deleted your cache from search engine (google), you can request to deleted link via Google webmaster tool.

Export XML from Blogger then import into Wordpress via Tools>Import then choose the blogger format....done deal. 301 all of the articles 1 by 1 to the corresponding article on the new site, finished.

Congrats for your success to migrate. To avoid similar/copy content, simply edit slight your new content. Especially in first and last paragraph. You should edit the title and permalink. Editing permalink in wordpress is easy.

Go register a free wordpress domain.
    Go to the blog's dashboard.
Scroll down where you see tools.
    Click it then select import.
    Rest should be pretty obvious!

It is not tough job.You can import your blog easily. On blogger sitemap on Google webmaster tool section you can change the address of your sitemap and redirect your blogger traffic to your own hosted blog.
Go on blogger blog and Export your blog then host Wordpress platform with your favorite theme on your own hosting server and click on import tool.Import your blogger folder into this system.Your blog will live without any problem. For more you can read my blog guide or can contact me by DM.

Export your file in blogger first, then import it to your new blog wordpress in your wp-admin page. Once success, you should delete your blogspot blog.

It's too easy to transfer blog from Blogger to Wordpress, I mention:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=12316647&postcount=3

It doesn't matter what version you have, you can upgrade it later once you shift!

You cant simply export Blogger to Wordpress and delete the original blog . The Wordpress and Blogger permalinks are different . Also you need to apply 301 redirects for the search engines to follow . Else you will loose your traffic and pagerank .

    False !
    1. You can set wordpress premalinks in the blogger format also .. So no visitors will be lost.
    2. You can 301 redirect the links to new better optimized links of wordpress.

    This will help you.
    http://www.technowpedia.com/bloggin...-hosted-wordpress-maintaining-the-permalinks/
Also, you should not delete the old blog.
Just revert it to the old blogspot domain.Change the visibility settings such that SE and no one else other than just you can see the blog.

This is because of the images that are still hosted in blogger. The images in your new wp blog are still on blogger.

So, deleting your blogger blog is plain suicide.
