Transfer fail 10 years rule ?

    Dear all , Just need little help about transfer domain .

    I try to transfer domain to Enom , but got fail reply , because - Maximum registration period exceeded , 10 years ...

    So , how to do ? waiting one year , then transfer again ?

    If possible I dont want renew one year , Just need transfer ...

    If your selling the domain you can ask seller to open a account same place you have the domain now
    and then do a account transfer.
    I normaly use godaddy and have done it this way.
    The account transfer then only takes 1 minute and new domain owner get domain very fast and you have less problems doing a transfer.

    This is interesting. Never heard of a maximum registration period of 10 yrs.
    What registrar is the name currently registered with?
