Transfer a Site from GoDaddy account to another?

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to transfer an entire site from one GoDaddy account to another. I have done the domain transfer several times, but never been in a situation where I needed an entire site transfered, and now I am. Just wondering if this is possible in any way or if I have to look for an alternative means of transfering the site.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

It is easy to transfer a domain from one account to another. However, are you asking how can you transfer an entire site's files from one GoDaddy hosting plan to another GoDaddy hosting plan?

This is quite easy to do, just do a complete cpanel backup and take that file over to your new webhost and restore it.

The complete cpanel backup includes domain, addon domains, databases, everything.

It's pretty straight forward. I would suggest you do it and test it all before changing over the name servers.

    Cheers

Go to old hosting control panel, backup your site info a GZIP file.
Go to new hosting control panel, restore your site. :D

You may not like godaddy for whatever reasons and that's OK (we're living times of changes, right?) but I'd call godaddy customer service number that's found in their home page and let them know my intentions. I've had them for years and they have provided me with excellent customer service all the time 24/7.

They're not the cheapest but I'm totally satisfied with their service. That's me anyway.

On the other hand, I'd call my new company to ask for domain transfer service advice.

I'm sure they've done it countless times and each of them know what to do and what steps to follow.
