I've been working on a short film and recently finished the trailer you can view it here: http://derangedscratchings.blogspot.com/2010/07/space-temple-24-trailer.html hope you like it Cheers Ezra
Thanks I've been doing it for years, it takes a lot of practice to get good. Some of my early stuff didn't look so hot.
Ezra - well done sir! When I watched the trailer I thought you were using a Machinima technique. Then I watched the showreel and "Perfect as it is" and see you do work for the games industry and that explained it. All the character work, lighting, etc., were very impressive. I think the showreel is better than the trailer actually - but I hope your movie gets into those festivals. Your audio work is also really good. I see the music is from other sources but your mix and sync of effect and dialog - really well done.
Thanks for all the great comments. @pixelbob The trailer is intended as a teaser. Teaser trailers range from about 39 secs to 2 minutes. Teasers are usually shorter than standard trailers and are supposed to leave you wanting more. Thanks for commenting and I'm glad you liked it. @aeronautic.net My showreel is all my best work, so I'm glad you liked it better than the trailer. I think it has a few spoilers in it though. Thanks for taking the time to look at the blog and other clips too. It's great to get such positive comments.
impressive so what software you using all is your work including the anime?you should consider doing a video creation service for trailer around ,maybe could get a good number of order lol
@neeru84 Sofware is Maya and photoshop when you say anime do you mean this stuff>> in which case yes, all the 2d stuff on my blog was painted by me using a graphics tablet, sometimes I draw the lines by hand in pencil then scan it and bring it into photoshop. Thats how I did the one above. Thanks for commenting an glad you liked it. @Omik cheers dude
one thing bothers me after seeing your nice scetch... why aint you in gaming industry? doing some serious art work for halo4 or something.
I was in games for 6 years. Trying to get some more work at the moment, applied for TV and film stuff but no reply so far. I did lots of kids games, like Eyetoy for Sony. I started on Timesplitters which you might have herd of, thats about the closest to a cool game that I worked on.
