We are fighting redirections and malware. If you have recently experienced such a problem, please let us know asap.
We are not aware of any malware incidents now. Last time, few weeks ago one of our advertiser was hacked(inserted iframe), but it was detected and fixed in few hours.
Guys, so when did you guys experience this? I had it happen once reported yesterday but since I am using more than one network I really have no clue where it came from.
it happens to all ad networks. Some advertisers feel that they need to make some quick money and after awhile decide to reedit their ads and insert hidden iframes that causes redirects.
Its difficult to tell since not all of my users who experience re-directs will tell me about it. But based on the frequency of reports, it happens to some network much more often than others and it is consistent. Fortunately, its not happening to yours, GGN. But I am more concerned with malware than redirects. Occasional redirects wont push viewers away but malware warnings will. Even worse, users actually get infected with a virus and needing to rebuild their PC! This has happened to one of my user so I am extra careful now.
It's very dangerous what happen, every one assume his responsibility. For example, if you visit a site, and your anti-virus say that site is infected, you will never go back to this site. Hope that this never happen again.
Yes , @yhbae01 we do alot of security checks on our ads. moment someone says theres a change in the ads the advertiser's ads are disabled.
@younesse yes that makes some ad networks better. but it puts the network in a high risk after some time. If a advertiser of his decides to screw his adnetwork up by sending a payment then bounces it after a few days, then the ad network loses alot of money not only for the impressions sent but also for the order placement. which is why some adnetworks like my have net terms to make the network much safer. TR standing this long means that its very successful and i give props to tom for that.
The network that pay by month start working years ago, they are trusted. But a new network must at first collect confidence. And the more important they must never down their server for weeks (sorry for my bad English)
Just wanted to promise that TrafficRevenue will never stop paying out publishers, even if our biggest advertiser scams us. We have money reserves for over 1 months of payouts in such case. Also, we have many huge advertisers so if one refuses to pay, those impressions are taken by other advertisers. Everything is calculated and secured Soon, when new payment methods are introduced, even potential problems with PayPal won't hurt us much(hopefully, so far no problems with PayPal at all).
Critical server failure Due to critical server failure, most of the revenue data for 2010-05-09 has been lost. For next 24h, we have applied a 100% bonus rate to cover your losses. We really do apologize for the problem.
they got server problem recently in fact just on may 9 saying all thier stat got crash and lost so hope everything will be back to normal soon
Hello there, How does the sliding banner work please? because I can't see anything when I paste the sliding banner code on my header or on my sidebar, whereas the standard banner works when I paste the code. Thank you
