does anyone have the answer to this question. has anyone worked with trafficpayouts.com, and know if they really pay or not?
** ATTENTION AFFILIATES / MARKETERS *** Yes, we have promoted www.trafficpayouts.com offers, climbed up in the competitive prize ranks, only to find out that they were not going to pay us. Before we give you the history of their unscrupulous actions, let's reveal their identity first. COMPANY BACKGROUND INFO: TrafficPayouts.com is owned/operated by Cyber Junky, Inc. Cyber Junky, Inc. is a California corporation, so if anyone needs to pursue legal action in the US, you can find his registered agent here. http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/corpdata/ShowAllList?QueryCorpNumber=C2791068 It is run by a guy under the pseudonym (fake name) of Billy Briggs. His real name is Eric something. His affiliate manager person is supposedly named "Veronica", but most of us in this tight affiliate community know that it's just Eric disguising himself once again as another pseudonym to make his company appear larger than it really is. When you look at the BBB complaint link here below, you will find that his company is just ONE person. However, Eric (or shall we call him Billy Briggs since he wishes to remain anonymous) lives over in some hideout in Australia. Why? Who knows, but one must wonder in our opinion. Business Name: Synergy Investments Inc Cyber Junkie Cyber Junky, Inc Cyberjunkie Cyberjunky DataEntryMadeEasy Keystrokes 4 Cash PaidSurveysEtc.com Type At Home Type-at-home.com Business Address: 1042 N El Camino Real #B358 (one of those PO boxes) Encinitas, CA 92024 Phone Number: (858) 345-5580 (don't bother calling, it's a voicemail box, another fake# once again) Better Business Bureau COMPLAINTS: Reports over 661 COMPLAINTS filed against them: http://sandiego.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=26&bbb=1186&firm=40000659 While most of the refund requests issues filed at the BBB have been resolved, all that means is that Cyber Junky finally refunded the customer, only after a long period of frustration first. So it's very easy to get complaints removed at the BBB, but you must still keep in mind that there are an excessive amounts of complaints against this company. Another MAJOR complaint and scam warning is that this company has fraudulently used the BBB trademark without authorization, most likely in an attempt to make themselves appear more credible. Now, if they wanted to use the BBB name, all they had to do was join the BBB. But we assume that's out of the question because they would probably violate many of the BBB's membership policies anyway, in our opinion. Think about this before doing business with them. If you have a problem with Traffic Payouts, the only thing you can do is email into the company through their contact form. If you have a dispute with them, then whatever they say goes. There is no recourse as an affiliate, because they will typically owe you money, not the other way around. Back in February, Cyber Junky, Inc.'s Corporation record showed that their registered agent resigned. The question is "why?" Now, here's the skinny. We started promoting their data entry, survey and work from home offers earlier in 2008, and they paid us for the first few months, and right about the time they were in the process of switching their affiliate management software from iDevAffiliate over to DirectTrack. In August 2008, they were late on their payouts so a bunch of us sent in support tickets into them and waited for a reply. Once we got their reply, we were all pretty shocked when we found out we were NOT going to get paid our commissions nor our prizes. They were already behind on prize payouts for since November 2007, according to some of the older affiliates we commune with. TrafficPayouts.com scammed us by telling us that because our refund rates were high, they were not going to pay us, nor pay our prize payouts either. Is something wrong with that picture? We were sending quality, targeted Pay Per Click traffic to their site and converting at over 14% conversions for their products. So if anyone even has half a brain, that's darn good traffic. REFUNDS have NOTHING to do with the affiliate. They have everything to do with the merchant. It has to do with customer service, product delivery, and product retention processes. Besides, HOW CAN AN AFFILIATE control refunds on products they do not own? You can't blame it on traffic, when the traffic converts at over 14%. When you read the BBB complaint history, you can see that with so many refunds and customer issues, that their problem is on the CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT/SUPPORT side, not the promotion side. Oh, and here's the proof (technically). You see, at the time they were still using iDevAffiliate management software, an older version (latest verion is ver 6 at this time of writing). The older version DOES not track refunds(customers) to affiliates. They ran their merchant processing through a 3rd party gateway/shopping cart, and the customer information is not tied back to iDevAffiliate. So we just don't know how they could prove that even if we had an increase in refunds from sales, how they could tie it back to each affiliate. We suspect that perhaps they really did have a high refund rate for a period of many months, and finally decided to stiff their top performing affiliates whom they didn't feel they had a personal relationship with. How unfortunate is that for business? Wow! That's really forward thinking, eh? Well, the story is much longer than this but we think you get the point. WHAT'S UP WITH T.P. TODAY? Well, after launching their new affiliate platform on DirectTrack's hosted platform back in October, they started bring out more offers into the marketplace, including recruiting some of the top merchants on Clickbank to get into their network. What does that mean? THat means that if a Clickbank merchant joined their network, they would have their affiliate base promote that merchant, and the new merchant would have to pay CyberJunky a fee per sale made, to be listed in their network. So we guess you can say that TP was trying to compete against top, reputable and established instituations like Clickbank, Clickbooth, HydraNetwork, AzoogleAds, ROIRocket, and other major CPA affiliate networks. After their launch, we found out in NOvember that they finally got the REFUND process in place and that they would start deducting refunded sales from affiliate commissions, since they were finally able to figure that out with the DirectTrack affiliate management software. So do you know what that means? That means that when they were using the iDevAffiliate platform, they COULD NOT track refunds to affiliates. In our opinion, that is proof enough that working with Traffic Payouts is a scam indeed. (even in hindsight, the proof is very real to us) As of today, December 17, 2008, Cyber Junky announced that they were going to DISCONTINUE their affiliate network altogether, and everyone has 5 days left before they would de-activate all of their affiliate links. They state that they'll be back around again in the new year with new offers. Oh, and here's another slap in the face to Traffic Payout affiliates... So now that they're taking down Traffic Payouts, Cyber Junky will ALSO be holding ALL affiliate income for 60 days to deal with REFUNDS, once again! And if they find out that your affiliate refund rate is higher than "normal", whatever they deem normal is, then the affiliate shall forfeit ALL of their commission. Is there recourse? In our experiences, ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! In our opinion, we advise our fellow marketers to stay clear of the Traffic Payouts scam. As of the 22 of December all trafficpayouts links are being closed down, i wouldn't bother with them at all
jasonb25 is absolutely correct. and guess how much lead time they gave all of their affiliates? <<< only 5 days >>> Is that the type of unprofessionalism any serious affiliate would want to waste their time on? Also, this guy "Billy Briggs" (pseudonym) is not his real name. We will find out what it is and will be posting his real name here for everyone to see. Why hide behind a name when you're dealing with top affiliates who you can form great partnerships and relationships with, unless you're planning on "screwing them" later down the road? TrafficPayouts is a scam!
