i just want to have tips from the pros
i m running a celebrity Pictures and wallpapers blog and its been more the n 2 months and my traffic increased by only 10-20%.
What i want to ask here is that from where shld i get traffic. so far the only source of good traffic for me is orkut followed by google and blogcatalog

i submitted to so many directories but i dont get any traffic from there so i was wondering if some1 could help me out

 

add some useful content to go with it...that is if you want excellent search engine exposure!!

The rest would be paid marketing...go with that if you have some cash to spare!!

 

my search engine traffic is becoming alot better and its more then my referalls but still the progress isnt that good

 

If you are focusing more on this overrated search engine business and not on actual advertising, and whatnot, you have a looooooong way to go.

My few fundamental point regarding your problem is as below which other may have not be to disclosed.

Since your domain is very new, you will not able to get good ranking in search engine soon. It will take time. Once your domain completes atleast 6 month of registration and all your done well regarding search engine, it may have a good ranking. You need to know that domain age is only a single factor, there are too many other factors which affects or effects search engine raking to get traffic.

Submission to directories does not ensure that your website is listed in directory. You will get traffic from directory once your website is listed in directory. So please ensure yourself that your website is listed in directories or not where you have submitted.

Usually listing in directory takes approx 30 to 90 days depending on the each directory guidelines and listing type (paid, premium, free, reciprocal). So its take huge time.

Since your domain is new one, I suggest you to get traffic from community websites like orkut, from which you are already getting traffic.

You may also submit your websites to Presss Release websites. and other places.

All you need to get the fundamental idea is older the domain, search engine gives great weight to the domain.

add an email subscription and get some targeted email lists and send mass emails to them.. These should get things started.
