Don't know about *The Best* but joining alot of forums that are similar to your sites subject and putting a link to your site in your sig and then posting in those forums and being an active member can help a little bit... And having a link in your email Sig also helps...
There are a lot of ways to have more traffic to your site. You can do link exchanges , directory submissions, article submission and participate in forums with your link as signatures.
Exchanging text links and link buttons with similar sites has helped my sites quite a bit. If you are running a blog I would recommend claiming your blog on technorati.com and making sure to tag your posts.
