Now this is a thing that it's bean bothering me for so long....i need to know how can you get traffic to your site in a short period of time?
If you are looking for long term business, then don't go fast.. Move slowly... Do SEO for your site, you will get real/targeted traffic...
In my experience there isn't really a way to get real traffic to your site in a short period of time, it takes quite a lot of work. That said though it really does depend on what kind of site we're talking about here, some will get traffic quicker than others.
yup..ppc, video marketing and social marketing..do it regularly and daily basis..im sure your site can be hits with a lot of visitors.
Getting to the front page of popular social bookmaking sites will get you lots of traffic in a short period of time.
The fastest way to drive traffic is to use Adwords. You get impressions within the next 15 minutes but disadvantage is the cost which can be high if not done correctly. Other ways to drive traffic instantly and for free are: 1. What you are doing now. Forum Posting! 2. Article submission. Post at GoArticles and get traffic in hours with their fast approval. EzineArticles take a longer time but if you are in Platinum status, it takes about a day or so. 3. Social Bookmarking at Del.icio.us, StumbleUpon, NetScape and other major SB sites will drive you instantaneous traffic. For long term and consistent streams of traffic, check out the methods I explained in my free report. See my signature.
Write up some original content and submit it to digg. Our Nintendo site (in my sig) gets tons of traffic this way. The bad part is it's sometimes not as targeted as we could hope..
Do digg, stumbleupon, and other social bookmarking sites. Also consider the many pay per click programs out there. List in my signature. Do link exchanges, directories, submit to forums and blogs. If you cover all the bases you can the more traffic you will get and the organic search engine traffic is the best. Good luck!
There are plenty of ways to get short term traffic, but most of that traffic is garbage. Adwords is quality traffic, but you have to pay for it. Instead of trying to get a lot of traffic today starting building links and aiming for steady quality traffic in the future.
It really depends on the site I think, if you are selling something then perhaps purchase advertisements on related websites to generate targetted traffic. Either way, be prepared to spend some money.
If you have great content, I would definitely submit a few pages to social bookmarking websites. You could also get into some viral marketing on YouTube, recording a video relative to your niche and include your web address in the description/video itself.
