    Statcounter is a good ,free tool. I prefer Google Analytics like said above

    Statcounter allows you a log of 500 lads. Analytics takes to long to update, imo. I use both though.

    I use FuseStats for my statistics, and Crazy Egg for their heatmap to see where my visitors are clicking.

    Am I correct in assuming you're using a free-host? Do you have access to cpanel/webalizer?

    ...If not then I'd agree with what the others have said - Google Analytics is very good.
