I have a magazine website and I am looking to get more traffic through our links since we have thousands of quality backlinks of reviews and more. I was just wanting to know how do I do this to get them ranked high. I am submitting to directories and posting now and then on blogs that let you place your url. Is there anything else I can do? Also this is what the links look like to reviews and wondering if I can do anything different to drive more traffic because want to get into top 100k for alexa soon. http://www.famosomagazine.com/albums/rascal-flatts-still-feels-good
Hi. I understand having a highly competitive sites need to maintain its rank in any SE's.. all I can say is, maybe you try to duplicate whatever your competitor has and why does they have a higher rank than your's. What I mean is, You have to study their sites carefully, and come up with a better idea than what they, your competitor, have. And also give BONUSES on the product you are selling. More bonuses to drive more visitors into buyers.
maybe you did not read but it is a magazine website with articles we are not selling anything at all I was asking for help because I was wondering if our link structure and everything is right and if I need to improve anything as I am using WP as a CMS (current link structure) http://www.famosomagazine.com/tours_to_catch_fall_07
Alexa is not very important. But if you want increase it, u can use Alexa widgets, install alexa toolbar in your office.
"I was asking for help because I was wondering if our link structure and everything is right and if I need to improve anything as I am using WP as a CMS" Wouldn't you know this better than us? You built the site, right? If your pages are linked together, there is no problem. Then again, why wouldn't they be? When in doubt, do a sitemap.
I was just wondering because I know some link structures are better then others for SEO reasons. As well I know I heard from John Chow there are things you need to change on wordpress. Maybe I am just asking the questions wrong or something but not getting answer I was looking for
Yeah, I'm not gettin' ya either. I'm thinking pages that are linked together. No? Do you mean the right structure of the code, like this? <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html dir="ltr" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <meta name="generator" content="vBulletin 3.6.7" /> <meta name="keywords" content="Traffic through search engines" /> <meta name="description" content="Traffic through search engines (from General Marketing)" /> Me confused.
