I googled buy traffic and got these:

    http://www.fastprotraffic.com/
    http://www.trafficexcess.com/
    http://www.fulltraffic.net/

    Are they any good?

They seem to be able to deliver so much traffic for so little money like 10,000 visitors for $5

    How is this possible??

I'm not familiar with them specifically nor could i even begin to guess how they get their traffic, but IMHO any traffic buying system that offers you 10,000 visitors for $5 is giving you garbage visitors. I mean, think about it, if it was REALLY that good, and REALLY that cheap, we'd all be jumping on board and a lot of this site would simply cease to exist. lol

It OK for an alexa pop, but that's about it.

You don't want to buy traffic for $5 since its all pings.
Google for the "buy traffic" results together with the word "scam" or "fraud"
Also the forums are full of bad comments about these kind of services.

    Good luck

Yes, try to avoid 'buying' traffic in such a manner. These types of websites don't have good karma with Google....

no use of such traffic buying services...

1> they just click on your url from same ip address.
so that does not count in popularity.

2> they did not make link popularity!

3> No ads revenue is possible from them.

    4>Its watse of money..

to read whole details on such articles goto http://hotandfresh.in web 2.0 section and read all articles related there!

Don't do it! There's almost no benefit to these visitors - if they're even real visitors at all (most are bot programs). Even if you do get real people, they aren't likely going to be interested in whatever you're selling. Either PPC or free methods like article marketing, social bookmarketing, etc will get actual people who are interested in your product to your site.

For that kind of traffic, you'll be starting at $500, if not $1,000, with a reputable ad service.

Rule of thumb: You'll be spending, at the very least .05 per visitor.

There's more to it than just that, but if you keep that figure in mind....

yes, most of these are just robots. What they do is send a ping request at the website, and then even before the page getting loaded correctle, it disconnects.
Also aS it is from same ip address, it does not count in "total no of visitors" , instead it counts as total number of hits

Most traffic selling websites are iFrame/Users don't even see your page traffic. The only way to get quality traffic is by buying it directly from the site owners or using PPC/CPM/Ad Networks

some are not bots some are real visitors but its untargeted traffic so in the end its up to you of what you want the traffic for.

    Guys,
Still there are good sites which can help new webmasters to get traffic to they websites.
There is a real need to read and understand the buy traffic guides and information notes before taking any action.

    G luck
