I am sometimes amazed how certain sites get so much traffic. For example, take a look at http://www.girlsandvids.com. This website is nothing special, but if you check their Alexa ranking, it is about 80,000! For those in the know, how does a site like this get so much traffic? Also, a ranking of 80,000, would that be at least 5,000 visitors a day?
Well, traffic can come from any sorts of marketing. The few that come to my mind at the time of typing this are: Social media marketing Search engine optimization Link exchange Google AdWords Article marketing Forum marketing Directory submission Buzz marketing Attraction marketing (social networking) There are still a whole lot more but I guess I'll stop here. If you continue to stay in this forum or other webmaster forum, you will able to learn more.
yep those are some tips...but alexa is not accurate anyway 80000 alexa can be 5000 uniques or even maybe 200 uniques with the manipulation methods available..but traffic is also a time based thing...u cant get traffic just lyk that in just a few days and ppl who say u can are just talkin crap...
He's only doing between 1-2,000 a day. And if he was doing 5,000, it's no big deal. A little here, a little there...it all adds up. One just has to get off his ass and actually do the work, and spend the money on advertising. Click on some of his pics and videos, if you haven't already. It goes to other sites. He is exchanging pics and videos with other sites. That's where he is getting all or most of his his traffic. This is common practice amongst T&A sites.
I find it annoying that these crappy sites get heaps of traffic and that my sites which are genuine and have loads of useful information get hardly any... anyway i am constantly working at traffic and hopefully soon I will see some results.
I appreciate the replies so far. I have noticed that Alexa rankings are often off, but if you are at 80,000, you must be getting some decent traffic. Perry Rose, what do you mean by T&A sites? Also, based on the videos I clicked, I do not see any linked to other sites videos. Gameover, you state "i am constantly working at traffic and hopefully soon I will see some results." What does this entail, if you don't mind my asking? Here is another site, the Alexa ranking of which I find unbelievable. The website is http://www.phun.org and it has a ranking of 800! And all this website is is a guy writing a daily diary in poor English and posting NSFW pictures he finds on the Internet. Incredible! How is it that this type of website is probably getting what - around 100,000 hits a day?
Tits and ass, markon. You say you don't see any linked to other sites videos? *shrugs shoulders* So? The pics and videos there go to other webmasters' sites.
Well... it actually has 3x more visitors then you predicted, and at this point it has Alexa rank around 40,000. About 30-35% of the traffic is from SE, around 40-45% is from partner sites (link exchange) and the rest of the visits are direct ones. Why does it have more visitors then some of the sites guys here mentioned.. is probably because content is attractive to general audience, and not just for webmasters. And yep...
