traffic problem

i wonder why i still got no traffic after all i have done.
i have submitted my blog to blog directories.
how many times should i submit it?
once, twice or thrice?
and every time when i post a new article, i will submit it to social bookmark. is it a right way to submit article every time when i post one to social bookmark?
i submitted my articles to digg, reedit etc. but i discovered that my article got less digg in digg.
can i know why?
what is the mistake i have been doing?
i discovered there is nothing change my blog traffic. it seems like i have done nothing to get traffic.
know what i meant?
so is anybody here can tell me what is the most effective ways to get heavy traffic?
