Traffic Is Increasing, While Adsense Revenue Decreases!

We implemented Google Adsense to our large music website about 5 months ago, but while our traffic is steadily increasing, the adsense revenue is barely generating enough for hosting fees. Is there a way to optimize the ads, or should I remove them completely and start using Commission Junction? The site I'm battling adsense with is www.RapMusicGuide.com

I don't see a single ad unit on your homepage, post or anywhere else. So err..

Increased traffic but what kind of traffic? What keywords are people typing to find your site? If people are coming to your site through extremely longtail keywords then those don't pay well.

you also need to have a look at bounce rate, if your bounce rate also increased with traffic then it means people don't stay on your site for long...

None of the picture ads seem relevant.
The text bar stuff is just broad keywords like "Rap | Music | Cassette Tape | Music Music Music".
Not many people are going to click those.

It's probably because the database is very basic. Not enough information for google to work with.
Either make entries content rich, or forget about adsense for monetizing.

You have like the worst ad placement possible, it almost seems like you're trying to hide your AdSense ad.
Search for "AdSense heat map" for a better clue of where to place your ads.

I've checked your site and I also cannot see a single ad unit apart from the header ad unit, you should try and use at least the 3 ad units per page and test different placements. You should be making a least enough to pay for the hosting on your site with your current Alexa ranking.

You can only switch up your ad placements - use channels - and look into your adsense earnings problem. You're not google, you can't optimize the ads to have better keywords.

Only 2 ad units per page! You should use at least 3. Placement is also important.

i think ads of your site do not have good rate. although traffic is increasing but the rate of ads is not increasing i guess so. even i saw in your site that ads are not placed properly. rearrange them properly and highlight them to visitors very properly. thanks

well thewebsite you have mentioned is not large and you can't expect revenue when you are getting 100 - 200 visitors a day and the second thing is the source of traffic only organic traffic generates good

Try waiting a week or two, your CPC may increase. Also, is your keyword seasonal?
