I was just checking out one of my sites on which i barely update content . The traffic goes straight up by 200%-300% on days i put up its link on any site . ( The traffic that comes from google ) . So how does google takes up new backlinks ?
The new backlinks are considered as a vote. Votes from similar content websites, designate you as a relevant information source. If those backlinks stay for a longer period of time, the peaks that you're now seeing will increase your overall traffic.
The backlinks might refer new visitors to your site. That's natural but how come that will drive up the organic search through google? You have to do the SEO perfectly to catch the attention of Google in the SERP; Google counts backlinks mainly for calculating the PR. Isn't it?
