Hi, I'm Sky, and I want to know the most effective way of increasing traffic to my site without spending money, cause I'm underage and my parents are nervous about spending money online. Any advice at all is welcome.(no republicans)
SEO is your best bet. But if you are looking for quick traffic try social bookmarking such as stumbleupon and digg.

Here's some traffic tips and here's some more ideas on getting traffic. You might also want to consider purchasing your own domain name (they come pretty cheap these days). Easier to do SEO and customize stuff.

Becoming active on the related forums of your niche is an easy and effective way to market your site. Simply put your site up on the signature link and watch as people come to your site. Become REAL active and you will become a trusted source of whatever you are involved in. It works and it works well. When I first got involved with websites, I used forum marketing exclusively and was able to build a list primarily just from this type of marketing. Also, I was easily able to build backlinks throughout the forums as I became more well known. The question is how much time are you willing to commit to it?
my advice would be to utilize social networking such as myspace. build a page then add as many friends as possible that are in your target audience
I agree with craiger22. If the search engines can't find you then you might as well not exist. Master the basics before you start with the advanced stuff. From my experience using proper keywords and tags (h1, title, etc) has helped the most.
Great articles, sumbit site to directories, take part in discussions in forums, SEO, etc. But i think the most important think is ur content it should be unique and niche.

Try social bookmarking but the traffic will be coming to you without being constant. The only way to have secure traffic is buying it.
