Goggle is much more important. However, if you haven't got in Yahoo try putting better keywords into your page because Yahoo relies more on them. My site actually got indexed in yahoo first.
I also do not receive any hits from Yahoo, I get some from Google, I have submitted to both and have uploaded my sitemap to both, maybe it is because yahoo charges to submit your site to their search engine where google doesn't
NOT TRUE! My traffic from Yahoo and MSN converts to customers at a much higher rate than my traffic from Google does. My testing shows that for my industry, people tend to use Google much more for shopping but when people are much closer to making a buying decision that using Yahoo or MSN seems to help refine their searches better and thus allows for a higher conversion rate.
I have keywords that work good on Google but aren't even showing up on Yahoo its good to target yahoo but its hard to push your keywords there
I did seo to get traffic and better ranking from google, but still I find huge traffic being driven by yahoo to one of my site. I did no work except I submitted for yahoo to index it. For sure many many people use yahoo for search. Day by day yahoo is improving its technology to compete with google engine.
yahoo is really very focused on keyword frequency and content so to get good traffic from yahoo is somewhat difficult
I would focus on Google, the amount of traffic from from them far surpasses Yahoo or any of the other search engines. Any additional traffic from Yahoo just consider a bonus.
Its simpley that Yahoo has a much smaller market share, Google has well over half the market share of searches made, so where as with Google you dont really have to rank that well to get some traffic you need to rank really well in the other search engines just to get a small amount of traffic.
