Vovan Forever, Twitter doesn't help your site at all. Very, very, very few will visit your site. THAT is the reality. Try it and find out for yourself. There are no secrets. The only true way to get a lot or even a reasonable amount of followers is to follow others. They will return the favor. But that is such a waste of time, it is unreal! Twitter is one of those things that is hyped up to unbelievable heights. Case in point: There are over 5 million who go there on a monthly basis, but, and get this, les than 400 post there daily in a 24-hour period! I would venture to guess that most of them don't even read one another's posts. heh That is what really makes me giggle. Also, many inexperienced will look at someone's profile page and see that they have over 10,000 followers. They are amazed at that. Well, here's the thing...that is no big deal, because all they did was spend hours and hours and hours and hours following others to get that many. Talk about not having a life. Get it? A true pro, and, one who actually uses his brain, would not even bother with Twitter. Those who say that they get 50 a day, over 100? Riiiiiiight. Don't believe it. And, other than toying with it for s h it s and giggles for a few days, one who has a life would also not bother with Twitter. But, like I said, experiment with it. Find out on your own.
Are you saying there are only 400 people tweets sent out worldwide in a 24-hour period? Or only 400 people using Twitter everyday consistently? Either way, you are incredibly wrong with your numbers Try adding about 2-3 zeros
If you take the "if you had a life, you wouldn't do that" argument, then it can apply to many things we do on the web.. Twitter is something that is not going to die in 2009-2010 at least.
Really? Huh. Count the number of individuals who have posted in a 24 hour period on any given day. Yup, but with this one. lol oh boy. Never said it would. If anything, due to the hype, it will continue to grow with. With so many lonely people out there, and so many clueless "marketers" out there, I agree that it will not die.
It is easy to get followers, but tough to get website visitors, most followers don't care what you're posting they just want you to see their post/link. It's not worth the trouble if you ask me.
My first impression of Twitter was "100% stupid garbage". I have seen some people claim Twitter is a great "live search engine", which updates "much faster than Google". I might try Twitter soon.
Twitter is a gold mine. I have about 15,000+ followers across different account on Twitter. Based on my experience, you will get about 0.3% CTR for each update with a link. It also depends on how long the link is visible in your timeline. I found that most links are good for only 24 hours, then it is like rubbish unless you repost the link within 24 hours. And yes, you can make money off Twitter but it is the same with every other thing, you must put in effort to provide value before dollar can change hands.
Honestly, if you give value to the Twitter community first without thinking about driving traffic to your site, you WILL drive traffic to your site. Those that give the most get the most in return on Twitter.
Very True. Even with 10,000 followers and growing, I still look into each of them, making sure they are satisfied with my updates. It is not hard at all to bind the followers heart to heart, once you did that, clicks and traffic starts growing and then you can monetize Twitter.
heh heh heh this guy makes me giggle. It's not a search engine, and it is rare for anyone posting there to show up on page one in a search in search engines. But, I have to admit,. even though it is garbage, and you don't make money from it, it is good to play with for awhile for shits and giggles. When you are bored, that is.
