Hey guys, I noticed that in the past few days my stumble traffic has drastically dropped. I was getting 5-400 uniques from stumble a day. In the past few days I have been getting under 40 uniques from stumble. I was banned, I think for submitted to many of my sites, but I am now allowed to submit again. How come I am not getting any traffic from stumble?

Stumble traffic doesn't last forever. Sometimes it just drops off. I just a surge of around 40 visitors to one of my content sites one time after stumbling it.

I submit each one of my articles though, so the traffic surge comes back every time I wrote an article. Well it used to, but now it stopped.

Stumble traffic can come and go very quickly.

And you might ahve answered your own anwser. You were banned, your traffic went down, but now you can post again. Well,,,, maybe your drop in traffic is related to your being banned?

The thing is, dont spam those bookmarking sites. Just submit a few articles a week or month, not 20 - 50 a day.

Funny you create this topic since just today I thought the same thing about Stumble. Before when I paid $50 it would be a lot of good traffic, and now I get visitors according to their stats but no new signups. I wonder if they just gotten so large that your site is buried under the millions now.

Traffic will spike up one day then drops the following day. I don't rely on StumbleUpon alone. I submit 6-8 times a month. I spread it out with different social bookmarking sites because once you get banned, it'll be difficult to start again from zero.

    1. Stop stumbling everyone of your own articles

    2. Read number one again

    3. The last two articles I wrote received 110,000 visitors from SU and 56,000 respectively. So it is sending traffic, you just need to write high quality content.

Don't expect affiliate landing pages to get traffic, would you really want to stumble on them?

I'm talking about articles that provide people with real value

It's hard to make head nor tail or stumbleupon traffic at times. There's a chance it'll just start to kick in again. Patience.

I had the same issue. The only way I was able to get stumble traffic to work again was to create a new stumble account. However, you should stumble other sites along with yours and do NOT stumble every one of your articles.

They have done a massive purge of fake stumbles, all those paid for stumbles from the same IPs in India etc have been removed, along with a swathe of others that seem a bit dodgy, so it might be connected to their big clean up.

My SU account was banned some time ago. The funny thing is that it got banned like 6 months after I stopped participating in SU exchanges... great work SU :)
SU traffic was never profitable for me anyway, so I do not consider this a big problem.
