I would like to know your opinion on submitting and promoting an English website to non-English social-bookmarking websites. The social-bookmarking websites I am considering are in Dutch, French, German, Hungarian or Polish. Do you get a decent amount of traffic from popular websites in those languages? Have you witnessed any significant increase of your website's search-engine rankings for keywords in those languages?

Nothing goes bad if you try and check, it will at least help you in tagging with targeted keywords.

    Why not just convert them?

With babelfish? Because most of the time the translation sucks?
