Traffic From Google Images, how much & how to get it

OK, I just wrote a blog post detailing how to get good rankings in Google Images as well as how to maximise the traffic once you get a good ranking.

For another blog post I thought it would be cool to see how much traffic everybody gets from Google Images at the moment, some of my sites get 500-1000 uniques per day from it which is quite nice.

With Google Images results now appearing in the regular serps it is an even more important aspect of online marketing.

What images traffic do you get? Do you have any more Google Images tips?

 

I actually get about 500-1,000 a month from images

 

I get about 40 UV a day from Google Images.

Most of my traffic comes from long tail keywords thanks to HitTail. That gives me at least 150-200 UV a day!

You can get excellent traffic from Google Images, and it's easy to rank high however it can be time consuming to get indexed due to the Imagebot's crawl frequency.

 

1000 per month from google images although I haven't focused on optimizing for it.

You say yourself - it's mostly traffic that doesn't want to look at your site, so for most people it's a bit pointless. I used to get quite a lot from google image search, but I recently did a redesign of my site, including giving images more precise names ands tags, and lost most of it. I wasn't sorry to see it go.

Iv nvr rly thought of google images as a traffic source... i know it owuld be good for porn but i didnt think of anything else.

 

That might work for some, but personally, having people hotlinking is the last thing I want.
