Hi guys. I'm pretty new in this websites job and I'm wondering if this Google Traffic Drop is something normal for this period ?

I mean, did this happened last year ?

I am sure that this is something related only to your site.
My google traffic is always doing up close to the new year.

Every year I see a traffic drop on and around Thanksgiving Day, then a considerable drop in the month of December, leading up to Christmas. January traffic typically takes off to new, higher levels than before. That's my experience, and it may just be niche-related.

I've noticed a small drop, not much, but most people spend time with there parents or go to direct sites to buy deals around this time.. so I wouldn't be surprised.

I noticed some drop on Google's traffic at my blog, but I think it is because of uncertainty in SERP for some keywords that I'm competing with. On top of that, I think it is depending on niche

Hey eugene: The link does not work. I would be interested in what you have to say since a few of my WP blogs have also mysteriously dropped in traffic from Google

    Thanks

Just look into which keyword you are highly ranked for using webmasters tool. Then confirm the ranking by typing into search engine. If there's no change in the position, then there's nothing to worry about.

Jim: In the past I have found similar trends due to the season. What I have done over the last few years is expanded my product offerings in the festive season. E.g. one of my businesses sells stock logos. In September, over the last 2 years I have taken selected logo groups, converted to PDF and made them available for free download.

Instead of calling them logos I call them "Crafts for kids at Christmas" and other related phrases. I remove all the colors from the logos and let the kids color them. Although I am not selling stock logos my traffic increases to the site during the festive season. It is quite interesting what you can do when you just re-label a product :).

    Greetings

Google is doing something and they monitoring all the site very carefully and kicking the spammers. You can see before updation on every 2-3 months. Now 2-3 times in a month and also crawling daily if the site is good and dynamic.

My blog is currently recovering from a loss of traffic during the time when it was banned by google. I am nearly hitting the $100.00 Google adsense payout and i will be out in the blogspot free service and gonna be choosing a hosting service.

    1. Is it possible to transfer blogspot to your chosen host?
    2. What are the changes that will be experienced?
    3. Will the blogspot CMS still be available after the transfer?

It is funny but in one of my sites, I receive from traffic from Yahoo than Google.
It is weird because a month ago, it was the reverse.
