Hello everyone, Today when I checked my Google Analytics, I saw some traffic came from google.com/imgres. Does anyone know what it is? The url can't be reached.

Is there any thing that we can do to promote site images on imgres or standard image optimization will work to get all the traffic from this new referral created by Google.com. In this week I have also got some good traffic from imgres.

You can take advantage of this source of traffic, and make sure that any image on your site is been optimized by using a relevant keyword you are targeting on the title and on the description of the image. Traffic doesnt hurt, so make sure you pay attention to this. Cordially, Dan Demarco

Execlty th same. Since thursday I lost 90% of traffic from /imgres. This traffic was rising for 2 year now. If anyone have some idea.
Check how many images of your site are indexed in google , for a quick search go to google images and type site:yoursitename.com you'll see how many images of your site are indexed there. This might help you out to figure something odd.
