traffic from directory

hey whts the use of directories?

do any 1 get traffic from these directories?

 

you get lot of traffic by bidding high till homepage of bidding directories..

directories give indirect traffic by SEOing your site and better SERPs

when people say do you get traffic are we talking about paying for a good banner on the homepage of a highly visited site or a free link in the average directory ?

If you want traffic turned on like a light swith probably best to shell out some $

 

I've submitted my sites at the last 1 year and i find no links and traffic to my sites. I dunno what's wrong with it.

 

For me submit link to directory to get better SERP.

 

Common directories send very low traffic, but ones gives you backlinks...

 

Directory submission is used to get traffic as well as backlinks.category should be relevent to site.

 

I dont submit for traffic, i submit for serps.

Submitting to directory is for SEO and not for traffic. Even DMOZ will not bring you good traffic.

 

I get good traffic to my directory from other directories which list directories

 

If you find some niche directories you'll get some traffic from them. You won't get much traffic from general directories, but they'll help your SERPs.

 

I have to agree my directory gets most of its traffic from other directories listing directories.. and I get a Crap load of hits in one day from directories to my directories but of my other normal sites only get PR/Search engine rankings from directories.

 

99% of directories are only good for building your backlinks.

Very few will send you good amounts of traffic.

 

My submission to directories is for increase backlink not much expect for traffic.But sometime got traffic from directories,I consider as bonus.

You will get traffic from directories but you need to submit your website to hundreds... but you should be happy with the backlinks and how it helps your serps.
